Ms Ang Hsin Hsien has spent a large part of her career in marketing and business development roles within the financial software industry which gave rise to her indispensable industry knowledge and expertise, accumulating more than 20 years of experience in the business.
Beginning in PanGlobal Sistemaju Sdn Bhd, Ang was involved in the sales and marketing of WANG computer systems and other products to renowned banks thereby gaining valuable insight into the financial framework that act as the foundation of a bank.
Subsequently, Ang worked for Open Solutions, a subsidiary of New Straits Times Technology Sdn Bhd and was involved in text and document management systems thus further broadening her knowledge of information systems. She then proceeded to Hitechniaga Sdn Bhd and was involved in business development activities for Computron, a renowned banking software solutions provider from the United States.
Seeing an opportunity in accounting systems for businesses, Ang co-founded Century Software Sdn Bhd and started distributing accounting software from Australia to Malaysia. Ang was instrumental in pioneering the government accounting systems with the introduction of SAGA (Standard Accounting System for Government Agencies) and obtaining compliance from government agencies compromising of MAMPU, Accountant General Office, Economic Planning Unit and the Auditor General’s Office.
She has since implemented accounting systems for many government agencies such as SIRIM, Malaysian Agricultural Research & Development Institute (MARDI), Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM), Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM) and Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) among others.
